Jon Killoran announces run for Washoe County Commission District 2 against Mike Clark

A familiar face in northern Nevada’s media and nonprofit community is stepping into the political arena. Veteran broadcaster and Reno-Tahoe Winter Games Coalition CEO Jon Killoran has announced his candidacy for Washoe County Commission District 2.
Killoran, a lifelong Republican and fifth-generation Nevadan, says he’s running to bring “principled and proactive conservative leadership” and a renewed focus on local priorities.
“County government’s duty is to the people who live and work here, not to the politics of the moment,” Killoran said in his announcement. “District 2 deserves leadership that is present, accessible, and grounded in conservative values, reflecting the core principles of service over self.”
